動く「すかんち」私は「薔薇薔薇殺人事件」しか持ってませんでした。
NHK教育ティーン向け番組「金曜かきこみTV」のローリーを見て、またすかんちを聞こうと買いました。
私はすかんちのライブに行ったこともないしビデオも見たことないので動くすかんちを初めて見ました。ローリーもすごいけどドラムの小畑さんのドラムさばきすごいなぁ。
「恋するマリールー」とお蔵入りしてたという「ウルトラロケットマン」は一見の価値あります。デビュー曲のカップリングだった後者は体張ってます(苦笑)
Disc1(CD)、Disc2(DVD)とも、ローリーの熱ーい解説つき(バンドの紹介、生い立ち、曲解説)で、思わずほかの作品も買いたくなりました。すかんち初めての人にも持ってこいの作品です。

すかんち、イタリアでよみがえる！９０年代初期、日本のバンドブーム最高潮の中すかんちのCDをほとんど持っていた私も、月日が経ち、生活形態が変わり、イタリア移住のためにすべて中古レコード屋に売却。ダビングしてあったカセットテープも今何処。こういう時に限ってローリー寺西の、変態的歌詞に対し後ろめたさゼロの高らかな歌声がやたらと聞きたくなる！あの頃のときめきをもう一度、との思いでこのベスト盤を購入。当時、ライヴ会場で気が狂ったように踊っていた自分が、１曲１曲聞くたびに思い出されて、臨月の身ながら飛び跳ねたい衝動に駆られてしまった。すかんちファンが絶対聞きたい曲が全部収録されていて大満足！ローリー本人が書いた曲＆ビデオクリップの解説もすばらしい！DVDでは、長髪だったローリーに改めて恋をしてしまう！これひとつですかんちについて、一通りわかるようになっちゃってるお得盤！！！おすすめです。
Dedicated to American fans of Japanese rockJ pop has dominated the Japanese music industry for quite some time now, and in search of some old-fashioned, rock and roll, I stumbled upon these guys.
Perhaps one of the more obscured and underrated Japanenese bands of the so-called 'X generation,' Scanch displays a myriad of talents by absorbing, executing and utilizing the sounds of American 70s classic rock bands such as Queen and Led Zeppelin. However, their versatality is apparent in the instrumentals used in their first 3 songs, which incorporate sounds of the early pop-punk bands started by The Clash and The Ramones.
What I like most about this band, is that while they neatly display their versatality for the more 'serious' fans of Rock music, they are still able to capture the 'popness' of radio-friendly rock bands that appeal to so many casual listeners.
